FAQs
Is lodging included in the retreat?
No, this retreat is "staycation" style. Sleep at home but sew with others all day in a beautiful, inspiring location. If you are interested in coming in from out of town and want some recommendations for lodging, please email sewbo@sewboco.com.
What should I bring to the retreat?
We will provide cutting tables, mats, rotary cutters, scissors, pins, clips, 2 sergers (one with white thread, one with black), irons, and ironing boards. Participants should bring their personal sewing machine, marking tools, notions, thread, patterns, fabrics, bobbins, snips, and any other sewing tools necessary for personal projects.
Do I have to be there the entire time?
No, while the retreat experience is better with friends, participants are welcome to come and go as they please.
What is a sloper?
A sloper is a bodice pattern block drafted using your specific measurements. Once a sloper is constructed, there are infinite ways to manipulate the sloper to make new garments.
Will we learn how to modify the sloper?
No, the entire Sloper Workshop will be spent constructing the sloper. We will offer a follow up class on manipulating a sloper at SewBo's studio.
What is your cancellation policy for the retreat?
Cancelations must be made by April 3 for a refund less a 10% cancellation fee. Unfortunately, no cancellations can be made after April 3.
