SewBo Spring Sewing Retreat

Service Description
Join us for SewBo's first spring sewing retreat! Join 14 other sewers on this creative and inspirational weekend retreat—May 2 & 3, 2026, Boulder, CO. Retreat Schedule Friday 6-7:30 pm Frocktails Private Shopping Event Don your favorite me-made frock and kick off the weekend with our Friday night private party! Retreat guests will be given a special 25% discount on this special evening the make the most of their retreat sewing. Multiple staff members will be on hand to assist sewers with any of their shopping needs. Light refreshments will be served during this private event. The Saturday and Sunday retreat events will be held at Schoolhouse Studios in Boulder. The retreat hours are 8-6 Saturday and Sunday with a special “Frocktails” event on Friday night at 6 pm. Students can choose from two booking options for the retreat, “Just Want to Sew” Option #1 and Sloper Workshop Option #2. See below for descriptions. “Just Want to Sew” Option #1 This designed for sewers who are interested in working on their own projects throughout the weekend with maximum independent sewing time. This option does include a mini Fitting Workshop on Saturday and a Slow Stitching Visible Mending Workshop on Sunday. Sloper Workshop Option #2 This option is designed for sewers who are interested in learning to draft a Sloper. A sloper is a bodice pattern block drafted using your specific measurements. Once a sloper is constructed, there are infinite ways to manipulate the sloper to make new garments. Students are also welcome to purchase multiple "add-ons" to their retreat experience: an African sewing basket and/or a "sloper tools kit". The "Sloper Tools Kit" includes: French Curve Ruler, Style Design Ruler, Angled Ruler, and a pack of colored pencils for drafting. Cancellation Policy
Adult Classes/Courses Class registration can be refunded 14 days before the start date of any class. If cancellation is requested within 14-3 days of the start date, a transfer of registration may be made to a different class or a credit can be given for a future class. No transfers or refunds can be made within 3 days of the start date of a class. Our classes and courses fill up quickly and are non-refundable within three days of the start date of a class. This is out of respect for our teaching team and due to our small teacher to student ratio. Refunds and re-schedules result in high costs in time and unplanned scheduling changes. Check out our FAQ's for more detail on our cancellation policy. Class credits expire one year after date of issue. Kids Monthly Classes Class registration can be refunded outside of 14 days of the start date of any class (less a 10% cancellation fee). If cancellation is requested within 14-7 days of the start date, a transfer of registration may be made to a different series or a credit will be given to your account. No transfers or refunds can be made within 7 days of the start date of a class. Check out our FAQ's for more detail on our cancellation policy. Class credits expire one year after date of issue. Summer Camps All summer camp cancelation and rescheduling requests must be made by emailing sewbo@sewboco.com. Summer Camp registration can be refunded 30 days before the start date of any camp (less a 10% cancelation fee). If cancellation is requested within 30-20 days of the start date, a transfer of registration may be made to a different camp or a credit can be given for use at a future camp or series. No transfers or refunds can be made within 20 days of the start date of any class. Check out our FAQ's for more detail on our cancellation policy. Class credits expire one year after date of issue. School Day Off Cancellation Policy If your child cannot make it to a school day off camp, we can issue a transfer of registration up to 14 days before the start date of camp. If cancellation is requested within 14-7 days of the start date a cancellation fee of $30 will be applied and a credit of the remaining camp registration fee will be issued for a future camp. No refunds, credits, or transfers will be given within 7 days of the start date of a camp. Class credits expire one year after date of issue.
