Summer Dress/Skirt Workshop

Service Description

Join this two session class to make a summer dress or skirt! This class will focus on tiered dresses/skirts and students may choose between three styles: The Marcel dress by Chalk & Notch, the Mave Skirt by True Bias, or the Nicks Dress by Closet Core Patterns. Here are some samples of skills students will learn in this class: gathering fabric, button holes, shirring an elastic waistband, insetting sleeves, and more. Materials are not included in the cost of the class and students will need to purchase their pattern and materials ahead of the first class and can do so at our class with a 15% discount. Fabric requirements can be found on the back of the chosen pattern and our staff can help student choose the correct sizing and fabrics. Important: Students will need to prewash their fabrics and cut out all fabric and interfacing prior to the class to maximize instruction time. Prerequisites for this class are out beginning sewing series and How to Read a Pattern and or Garment Sewing for Beginners or the equivalent knowledge thereof.

Cancellation Policy

Adult Classes Class registration can be refunded 14 days before the start date of any class. If cancellation is requested within 14-3 days of the start date, a transfer of registration may be made to a different class or a credit can be given for a future class. No transfers or can be made within 3 days of the start date of a class. This is out of respect for our teaching team and due to our small teacher to student ratio. Kids Monthly Classes Class registration can be refunded outside of 14 days of the start date of any class (less a 10% cancellation fee). If cancellation is requested within 14-7 days of the start date, a transfer of registration may be made to a different series or a credit will be given to your account. Summer Camps Summer Camp registration can be refunded 30 days before the start date of any camp (less a 10% cancellation fee). If cancellation is requested within 30-14 days of the start date, a transfer of registration may be made to a different camp or a credit can be given for use at a future camp or series.
