Garment Sewing for Beginners - Part Two

Service Description

In part two of this beginning garment class, students will learn to construct the Ashton Top by Helen's Closet. This universally flattering and easy to construct top will teach students how to: · Sew darts · Sew in a facing · Understitch · Sew with curves · Tailor garments to their bodies If students did not attend part one of this series, they should come with their fabrics cut out and ready to sew with the stay stitching completed on the bodice and facing pieces. If registering for part two only: If you do not have the Ashton Top pattern for class, please email sewbo@sewboco.com and let us know you need the pattern. We will send you an invoice for the pattern separately and once the invoice is paid, you may come and pick up your pattern so you canprep your project before class. Materials are not included in the cost of the class. Students will need to purchase the appropriate amount of fabric for their size (size guide and fabric requirement chart is available in the class gallery) and can do so at our shop with a 15% discount. Prerequisites: Sewing 101, 201, 301, How to Read a Pattern, Garment Sewing for Beginners Part One, or the equivalent knowledge thereof. Students must have basic sewing skills and know how to use and thread a sewing machine to attend this class.

Cancellation Policy

Adult Classes/Courses Class registration can be refunded 14 days before the start date of any class. If cancellation is requested within 14-3 days of the start date, a transfer of registration may be made to a different class or a credit can be given for a future class. No transfers or refunds can be made within 3 days of the start date of a class. Our classes and courses fill up quickly and are non-refundable within three days of the start date of a class. This is out of respect for our teaching team and due to our small teacher to student ratio. Refunds and re-schedules result in high costs in time and unplanned scheduling changes. Kids Monthly Classes Class registration can be refunded outside of 14 days of the start date of any class (less a 10% cancellation fee). If cancellation is requested within 14-7 days of the start date, a transfer of registration may be made to a different series or a credit will be given to your account. No transfers or refunds can be made within 7 days of the start date of a class. Check out our FAQ's for more detail on our cancellation policy. Summer Camps All summer camp cancelation and rescheduling requests must be made by emailing sewbo@sewboco.com. Summer Camp registration can be refunded 30 days before the start date of any camp. If cancellation is requested within 30-20 days of the start date, a transfer of registration may be made to a different camp or a credit can be given for use at a future camp or series. No transfers or refunds can be made within 20 days of the start date of any class. Check out our FAQ's for more detail on our cancellation policy. School Day Off Cancellation Policy If your child cannot make it to a school day off camp, we can issue a transfer of registration up to 14 days before the start date of camp. If cancellation is requested within 14-7 days of the start date a cancellation fee of $30 will be applied and a credit of the remaining camp registration fee will be issued for a future camp. No refunds, credits, or transfers will be given within 7 days of the start date of a camp.
