Flannel Rag Quilt

Service Description

Join this cozy class and make a flannel quilt that while easy in construction, is impressive in its looks! And no binding required! Come prepared with your flannel and batting squares cut and ready to sew. Materials are not included in the cost of the class (the rag quilt snips are) and students will need to purchase the below materials and can do so at our shop with a 15% discount. Materials Required: 84 (10") squares which can be broken down as follows: 10" strip of WOF flannel will yield 4 squares. You need 21, 10" X WOF cuts. You can divide this however you like for your design. If you would like to mimic our shop sample (you can see it in the class image gallery) you can use the breakdown below: Fabric 1 - 6: 2 - 10" X WOF Strips (just under 2/3 of a yard for each fabric) Back of fabric: 11 - 10" X WOF Strips (3 Yards) 60 X 70" piece of batting to be cut into 42 - 9" squares. Bring a coordinating thread that you will see on the top and back of the quilt. We will learn how to quilt your blocks together, assemble rows and how to snip your edges to achieve the ragged look of the quilt. We will not complete the full project in class but you will have a small amount of snipping homework to complete the quilt. There are two options when signing up for this class. One is to do all of the cutting prep at home and the other is to have us do the cutting for you. Because this class requires the use of rag snips, students will get a pair of these special scissors to take home and the cost of the snips is included in the cost of the class (with the 15% discount).

Cancellation Policy

Adult Classes Class registration can be refunded 14 days before the start date of any class. If cancellation is requested within 14-3 days of the start date, a transfer of registration may be made to a different class or a credit can be given for a future class. No transfers or can be made within 3 days of the start date of a class. Please not that we allow for one rescheduling of class within the terms of the cancelation policy. This is out of respect for our teaching team and due to our small teacher to student ratio. Check out our FAQ's for more detail on our cancellation policy. Kids Monthly Classes Class registration can be refunded outside of 14 days of the start date of any class (less a 10% cancellation fee). If cancellation is requested within 14-7 days of the start date, a transfer of registration may be made to a different series or a credit will be given to your account. Summer Camps Summer Camp registration can be refunded 30 days before the start date of any camp (less a 10% cancellation fee). If cancellation is requested within 30-14 days of the start date, a transfer of registration may be made to a different camp or a credit can be given for use at a future camp or series.
