The Arbor Button Up Men's Shirt

Service Description

In this sewing workshop, students will make this workwear inspired shirt—the perfect foray into tailored shirt making. This pattern can be make as a jacket or a shirt depending on the fabric chosen. In this class, students will learn how to: · Sew a yoke · Sew a placket · Insert a collar · Make button holes · Sew on buttons Materials are not included in the cost of this class. Students will need the following before the day of the class and fabrics should be prewashed. Suggested fabrics: 5-8oz Linen, 5-10oz denim, light – medium weight corduroy, wool, wool blends, cotton canvas or twill. 2 1/3 - 3 1/2 yards of fabric (see image in gallery for size chart/fabric requirements) Matching thread 1/2 yard lightweight interfacing (SF101) 12 3/4" buttons Students receive 15% off of the pattern and and class purchases in our shop and our team is happy to help with fabric recommendations and general help. This is an intermediate sewing class and students should be comfortable working with sewing patterns and sewing beginning garments. The pattern pieces and fabric pieces for this class must be cut out prior to the class starting.

Cancellation Policy

Adult Classes Class registration can be refunded 14 days before the start date of any class. If cancellation is requested within 14-3 days of the start date, a transfer of registration may be made to a different class or a credit can be given for a future class. No transfers or can be made within 3 days of the start date of a class. This is out of respect for our teaching team and due to our small teacher to student ratio. Kids Monthly Classes Class registration can be refunded outside of 14 days of the start date of any class (less a 10% cancellation fee). If cancellation is requested within 14-7 days of the start date, a transfer of registration may be made to a different series or a credit will be given to your account.
