Lander Pant Workshop

Service Description

In this class students will learn to make the Lander Pants from True Bias. Students will learn to fit pants to their specific body, led by our apparel expert Tessa Green. In this two-session class students will learn to: Grade a pattern to fit their body measurements Set a waistband to prevent gaping Add pockets to pants (inset and outside) Build a fly or side button closure Work with a muslin or toile to ensure proper fit. Students will create their first pair of pants (students are encourages to just make shorts to get the fit right) with a muslin (this is a practice pair of pants using an inexpensive fabric). Once the muslin is complete, students will be equipped to build their final pair out of their desired fabric. Students will also need to complete some "homework" before and in between class sessions. Tessa will be in touch with students upon registration to explain what needs to be done ahead of the first class. Materials are not included in the cost of this class and students can purchase the pattern and fabrics at our shop with a 15% class discount. Materials requirements can be seen in the class photo gallery. Prerequisites are sewing 101, 201, and How to Read a Pattern, Garment sewing for beginners or the equivalent knowledge thereof. Students must be comfortable sewing apparel in order to take this class.

Cancellation Policy

Adult Classes Class registration can be refunded 14 days before the start date of any class. If cancellation is requested within 14-3 days of the start date, a transfer of registration may be made to a different class or a credit can be given for a future class. No transfers or can be made within 3 days of the start date of a class. Please not that we allow for one rescheduling of class within the terms of the cancelation policy. This is out of respect for our teaching team and due to our small teacher to student ratio. Check out our FAQ's for more detail on our cancellation policy. Kids Monthly Classes Class registration can be refunded outside of 14 days of the start date of any class (less a 10% cancellation fee). If cancellation is requested within 14-7 days of the start date, a transfer of registration may be made to a different series or a credit will be given to your account. Summer Camps Summer Camp registration can be refunded 30 days before the start date of any camp (less a 10% cancellation fee). If cancellation is requested within 30-14 days of the start date, a transfer of registration may be made to a different camp or a credit can be given for use at a future camp or series.
